Disney Genie is the complimentary vacation organization tool provided to all United States Disney parks guests through the My Disney Experience app, with Disney Genie+ serving as the paid enhancement that allows guests to book Lightning Lane reservations at Walt Disney World® Resort and to do the same alongside additional benefits at Disneyland® Resort.
As of the time of writing, Guests can make one reservation at a time with Disney Genie+, and can make their first reservation beginning at 7 a.m. that day. Gone are the days of booking your FastPass+ selections months out; guests book all Lightning Lane selections the day they plan to use them. Once either the arrival window has passed or the Lightning Lane pass has been redeemed, guests are able to make another selection.
That changes starting June 8, 2022, as Genie+ will only be made available for purchase on the day of park visitation. It can be purchased through the My Disney Experience app, but will no longer be made available as an add-on when buying park tickets in advance.
Guests who previously bought tickets for June 8, 2022 and beyond who also bought the Disney Genie+ add-on will keep their advance purchase for their trip.
