Ever wonder what it was like to celebrate the holidays while on vacation? Well worry no more! While each family has its set of traditions, the Thanksgiving meal is often celebrated by many, and for that Disney has you covered. Disney offers special menus for a lot of its restaurants on the holidays, and some reservations might be available the day of in-person or the day before on the My Disney Experience app. Dining is always limited during the holidays, so it is best to call beforehand.
The resort restaurants on property make up the largest portion of the specialty menus for the holidays. A good rule of thumb is that the quick service and more family friendly table service restaurants offer the special menus for lunch and often dinner, while the higher end dining experiences only offer a Thanksgiving menu for dinner.
Some of the highlights are California Grill, Chef Mickey’s, Jiko- The Cooking Place, Sanaa, Mickey’s Backyard BBQ (if you’re looking for dinner and a show), Trail’s End Restaurant (which also offers brunch), Trattorio al Forno, Narcoossee’s, and Il Mulino. Pretty much all of the deluxe resorts offer special meals on Thanksgiving, so if you’re looking to get out of the crowded parks and enjoy some slower-paced time with the family, this is a great option. For guests unable to get a reservation in time, some of the quick service locations at the resorts offer great Thanksgiving-themed food without the need to schedule early.
Of course, if you’d rather stay in the parks on the holiday, you don’t have to sacrifice your Thanksgiving meal. All of the restaurants that offer the specialty holiday menu are table service though, so it might be tough to grab a seat without a reservation.
Liberty Tree Tavern and Cinderella’s Royal Table both offer options for lunch and dinner, and are typically the only two restaurants in Magic Kingdom® Park to offer the type of food guests are looking for during Thanksgiving. Epcot® has the widest selection of dining locations, with holiday menus being available at Akershus Royal Banquet, Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room, Le Celier Steakhouse, Coral Reef Restaurant, and Biergarten. Disney’s Animal Kingdom®Theme Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios® both offer one restaurant each, with Tusker House Restaurant and The Hollywood Brown Derby, respectively.
Do It Yourself
