Where should you spend time dining in Universal?

Updated: May 20

Universal Orlando Resort—especially its theme park area—is a sprawling, cohesive experience where park entrances are a short walk from one another. Split by its shopping and dining district, there is no shortage of food to be found both in and just a few steps out of the parks.

Universal CityWalk

CityWalk is the ruler when it comes to Universal dining. From heavily themed experiences like the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium to more intimate affairs like Bigfire Restaurant, there is a vast array of varied, quality dining to make the time (and money) spent worthwhile.

Universal's Resorts

Just a short bus, car or ride-share trip reveals some of the best dining Universal has to offer. From wildly creative themes in line with the resorts, to our personal favorite at the beautiful rooftop Bar 17 Bistro at Universal's Aventura Resort, many of Universal's resort restaurants trend away from the theme park atmosphere and trend toward something you might expect to see in the heart of a city.

The Theme Parks

Perhaps not the most ingenious suggestion, but there is still plenty of good dining to be had throughout the Universal Orlando Resort theme parks. Mardi Gras season is especially exciting, with food booths bringing variety across the parks for a majority of the spring. A crepe booth, themed Harry Potter dining and in-park food trucks help make for good, quick dining so guests can dive back into the action of thrills and shows.
