With holiday décor and special events coming to Universal Orlando Resort this season, finding the perfect time to take a trip means getting the best of it all.
Crowd Levels
The biggest theme park crows always come during New Years Eve, Christmas week, Mardi Gras and Thanksgiving. If you want to avoid the crowds altogether, the best time to go is to skirt around the holiday weeks. Those who have to travel during those times should prioritize Thanksgiving week.
Decorations
If your priority is to see the parks while the holiday decorations are up, the good news is that some have already begun to arrive. The farther November gets along, the more decorations will appear, but those wanting to get ahead of the holidays and travel early in the month will get to see some of the festivities.
Holiday Events
The biggest draw of Universal’s holiday celebrations is the Awesomest Celebration of the Season, which brings a parade, a live show, the Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts, new dining options, the tribute store and performances by the Manheim Steamroller.
It runs continuously from Nov. 13 through Jan. 2, so visiting the parks on any date during that window means you’ll get to experience the event in full.
