What is mobile ordering?

Updated: May 16

Finding faster ways to get fast food has become ever popular, and mobile ordering is Disney’s way of allowing guests to do that. Being able to order quick service food ahead of time works perfectly in Disney, as it makes it super easy to skip lines and get back into the park quickly.

You can order at any time and from any spot, so while you’re walking somewhere, waiting in line at an attraction, or heading to your eating destination you can pull up the My Disney Experience app.

How to order:

To order from the app, just press the “+” button at the bottom of the screen, then select “Order Food.” There, it’ll show you every possible restaurant you can order from on property, meaning you can even order from another location if you’re switching parks or just preparing to arrive at one.

From there you’ll have to tap on the restaurant you want, then select “Order Food” again. There are options to find the restaurant on the map or to get directions to it, so if you’re new to the parks you won’t have to worry about getting lost.

You then just choose what you want to order from the in-app menu and that’s it! You’ll be prompted to review your order and pay for it, where you can use credit cards, debit cards, and any of the dining plans. If you have another method of paying, you’ll have to order at the restaurant instead.

How to get your food:

Once you’ve ordered and paid, you’re free to go about your business until you’re ready to eat. On your way to the restaurant, open the app and navigate through the menus as before. This time you’ll see an option that says, “I’m Here, Prepare My Order.” Choose that and the app will send you a notification when your food can be picked up at the restaurant’s mobile order window.
