New Walt Disney World® Resort announcements stated theme park reservations will not be required for guests with dated tickets starting Jan. 9, more flexibility for Annual Passholders and simplified systems for Disney Genie+.
Among the new announcements came the reveal that the highly requested Disney Dining Plan is set to return. Placed on hold during the COVID-19 closure, different dining plan packages provided guests with pre-paid credits for different types of meals each day during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
Guests who book vacation packages with park tickets and Disney resort hotel accommodations beginning Jan. 9, 2024 will be able to purchase one of two dining plan options.
One option will be focused on quick service restaurants, and the other will be focused on table service experiences.
Disney will provide the full list of eligible restaurants online by May 31, when most 2024 vacation packages are eligible to book.
