Our five favorite Wizarding World of Harry Potter secrets

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is loaded with intractable secrets and Easter eggs for both hardcore and casual fans alike, making unlike almost any other theme park destination in the world.

Interactive Puzzles

It's common to see gusts huddle outside the now-well-known apartment of the famous Kreacher (at 12 Grimmauld Place), but the land holds similar secrets throughout.

The red telephone box outside the entrance of Diagon Alley features a phone call from the Ministry of Magic to all who dial M-A-G-I-C (62442).

A mirror also sits in Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions that will appraise the outfits of those brave enough to subject themselves to its scrutiny.

Roaming Death Eaters

Though exclusive to Halloween Horror Nights, it would be impossible for us to get through this list without mentioning one of the most exciting (and perhaps scariest) secrets in all of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

A sinister atmosphere overtakes Hogsmeade during the separately ticketed event, where Voldemort’s loyal followers scour the lands looking for new members to join their cause.

Knockturn Alley

More of a well-disguised area than a secret all its own, too often have we been with guests who had never seen the darker, unique side of the wizarding world. The entrance to this alleyway of intrigue is denoted by a small sign beside the Leaky Cauldron.

Get Sorted into your Hogwarts House

Never taken the official online sorting quiz? Don't worry! The famous Sorting Hat is located at Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods, and just like in the films and books, will sort you into your Hogwarts house by trying it on.

The Money Exchange

Guests can enter the Gringotts Money Exchange next to Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts in Diagon Alley to trade their real-world money for Gringotts Bank notes. They can be exchanged throughout the land's gift shops or kept as souvenirs.
