One of the moderate resorts just keeps getting better: here’s what’s next

Updated: May 16

One of (my favorite) moderate level hotel resorts at Walt Disney World® Resort has been under construction for quite some time, but now Disney has provided a few updates as to what guests can expect soon for Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

Gran Destino Tower, a 15-story building that has been the centerpiece of a major expansion of the resort is set to open in July 2019. Guests can now make reservations at one of the resort’s 545 new guest rooms. Prices for standard rooms start at $261 a night, with suites going up from there.

With the tower is coming a set of two new restaurants, Toldeo and Three Bridges Bar & Grill.

Toldeo is the name of the restaurant set to sit on top if the new building, with a full menu of wines from around the world and food that centers on steak and seafood. The restaurant is already touting its tapas as well, which are small, Spanish appetizer-like dishes.

Three Bridges Bar & Grill is set to stand on its own from the Gran Destino Tower, as it is being built directly in the resort’s lake. The menu will be a little more familiar, serving things like sandwiches and salads. Both restaurants are scheduled to open on July 9, 2019.
