Jaleo a hint of what’s to come for new Disney restaurants

Jaleo, the new Disney Springs restaurant developed by renowned chef José Andrés, serves as an indication of what is up next for dining at Walt Disney World® Resort.  In a sea of plentiful and fantastic dining choices, Jaleo fills the one spot that eating at the resort fills most: fine dining.

Rather than giving bountiful plates piled high with mountains of food, Jaleo is more of an eating experience, where guests order small plates perfect for sharing a few between two. The smaller portions, clean-cut setting and unbelievably high quality of the food are reminiscent of the rooftop California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Food is as ingrained to the culture of a Walt Disney World® Resort vacation as attractions and the theme parks themselves, and as the vision for attractions evolve over time, so too will the vision for restaurants. While numerous innovative, family-friendly restaurants are set in to open soon, there’s also a subset of restaurants more like Jaleo. There is a bit more class to the restaurants and the menus, and although the prices for them might be higher in some instances, the dining experiences at these new restaurants will be unlike any other.

The two newest signature dining experiences are set to be Topolino’s Terrace at the new Disney’s Riviera Resort and Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood coming to the new Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Both restaurants are just a small window into what Disney is offering next for dining, but if the quality of the meal at Jaleo is any indication, then guests are going to be in for a treat.
