As vacation updates continue to develop during the COVID-19 pandemic, dining and FastPass+ reservations have been canceled. Just as with upcoming theme park reservations, guests will still be able to schedule those reservations prior to their trip to Walt Disney World® Resort, but booking windows will necessarily be different than they historically have been.
The My Disney Experience app is one of the best ways to stay up to date with new booking windows and reservation systems. Those with a vacation booked in 2020 and through the early portions of 2021 should link their reservation with the My Disney Experience app as soon as possible to ensure they are receiving proper communication.
The app will also be necessary for mobile ordering at many restaurants—as it always has been—but now to a much greater degree. Mobile ordering is set to become one of the most predominant features in the parks in the immediate future, aiding the app’s necessity.
Disney may also use the app to communicate with guests during their stay, as has happened in the past. The app remains one of the most powerful tools for staying up to date with an ever-changing vacation, and linking your reservation now can set you up for the duration of your trip.
