Everything we know about Universal Mardi Gras 2023

Updated: May 21

Mardi Gras has long been our favorite time at Universal Orlando Resort, with so much food, music, and so many creative activities that set it apart from what already makes the theme parks outstanding.

Taking place from Feb. 4-April 16, 2023, admission is included with theme park tickets and annual passes.

The Mardi Gras Parade

Though the celebration has branched beyond the New Orleans interpretation of the holiday, the Big Easy reigns king during the nightly Mardi Gras parade. Guests are able to join the floats as bead-throwers atop the dazzling, themed floats that are as authentic to the real deal as it gets.

Guests can now book an experience that guarantees a spot on a float and includes a 3-course meal, selectable from the entire menu, at their choice of Finnegan's Bar and Grill, Lombard's Seafood Grill, The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar or NBC Sports Grill & Bar.

Do note that there is no parade scheduled for March 31, 2023.

Food Samplings from Around the World

There's an abundance of cultural favorites from across the world to be found at Universal's Mardi Gras. The traditional theme park food booths take on Cajun- and carnival- themed dishes and drinks for food that must be sampled.

Big-name Concerts

Beloved artists of every genre take the stage for concerts on select nights throughout the season. This year's lineup includes:

  • Feb. 4 - Patti LaBelle

  • Feb. 10 - JVKE

  • Feb. 11 - Goo Goo Dolls

  • Feb. 18 - Maren Morris

  • Feb. 19 - WILLOW

  • Feb. 25 - 3 Doors Down

  • March 4 - Sean Paul

  • March 5 - Lauren Daigle
