Walt Disney World® Resort has long made efforts to limit its waste, especially in its dining locations. Paper and agave straws replaced plastic and single-use items were replaced where possible.
Disney is continuing its efforts to cut down on waste by changing its disposable, single-use dining policy at quick-service restaurants. Signs now point out that paper straws and plastic lids are only available for guests who request them. They have been removed from self-service beverage areas and now must be asked for when ordering.
Guests who want these items should note the importance of requesting when order at the register, as those who do not I will have to go back through the line to ask for them.
