Answering common questions about Universal's Epic Universe

Epic Universe, Universal's all-new Orlando theme park, is well into construction. Though permits and aerial-view pictures give away hints at what guests can expect in the future, Universal has announced a handful of details for its newest destination since it was first announced.

Where is it?

Located near the Orange County Convention Center, the new park's location is just two miles away from Universal Studios Florida, Universal's Islands of Adventure and Universal CityWalk.

Can you stay nearby?

Yes! Universal's existing hotels are already close to the new location. Orlando Business Journal reported that another, 750-room hotel is being built within Epic Universe, giving guests a direct line from park to resort.

What lands are coming?

NBCUniversal’s CEO, Jeff Shell, indicated in 2021 Epic Universe would contain rides—and possibly lands—on a few particular franchises, including:

  • Nintendo

  • Illumination (some of its properties include Despicable Me, Minions and The Secret Life of Pets)

  • DreamWorks (some of its properties include Shrek, Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda)

When can you go?

Universal's Epic Universe is targeting a 2025 release date, though no specific date has been announced.
