Character dining is one of the ultimate, coveted dining experiences in the Disney theme parks. It combines character meet-and-greets with what is typically buffet-style meals, making it the perfect dining experience for families.
Disneyland® Resort has five character dining options, with the first of them being the lone one in the theme parks. The rest are located in resorts, creating a more laid-back, relaxing atmosphere.
Minnie and Friends – Breakfast in the Park An all-you-care-to-enjoy meal located t the Plaza Inn, this spot where Walt once dined offers meeting opportunities with some of Disney’s most popular classic characters.
Meet-and-greet reservations are typically available starting at 8:10 a.m., and are available until 11 a.m., when the restaurant has to switch from breakfast to its usual menu for lunch and dinner.
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures Located at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa’s Napa Rose restaurant, this three-course breakfast features activities hosted by several of Disney’s princesses. This is one of the friendliest dining options for young guests, especially those who have meeting their favorite princess at the top of their bucket list.
Reservations are typically available from 8-11 a.m.
Donald Duck’s Seaside Breakfast Located at Disney Paradise Pier Hotel’s restaurant, Disney’s PCH Grill, this all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet features dishes that include chilaquiles, build-your-own parfaits and chicken and waffles. Donald Duck is the star of the show here, and he brings several of his friends along with him.
Reservations are typically available from 7-11 a.m. for the character dining, or a standard dinner experience from 5:30-9 p.m. Character brunch is offered from Friday-Sunday.
Breakfast and Dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel follows the classic all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet, and has some of the most fun menu options like hotdog tacos and peanut butter and jelly pizza. Goofy and his friends take over for this dining experience, making it great for families who want extra fun with their meals.
Breakfast reservations are typically available from 7 a.m.-12 p.m., and dinner from 5-9 p.m. Both meals feature characters.
Mickey’s Tales of Adventures Breakfast Buffet Mickey Mouse and pals are the stars at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa’s Storytellers Cafe. An all-you-care-to-enjoy dining experience, character meals are offered during breakfast and brunch.
Breakfast reservations are typically available from 7-11:25 a.m., with brunch from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. A dinner buffet without characters is normally offered between 5-10 p.m.
