2023 packages are available! Here's what's coming to Walt Disney World Resort

Updated: May 20

Walt Disney World® Resort's 2023 vacation packages are now available, meaning guests can book vacations throughout next year. With so many favorites returning to the parks this year, 2023's arrival looks to bring plenty of new attractions and opportunities.

Tron Lightcycle Run

The highly anticipated roller coaster has no official opening date, but it did begin a significant phase of testing in March. Guests will be able to see the testing take place as they travel throughout 2022, and each steps are a step closer to the attraction's eventual opening. Presumably, as this attraction gets closer to opening, so too does the under-refurb Walt Disney World Railroad.

EPCOT® Refurbishments

The reimagining of EPCOT—including World Celebration, World Discovery, World Showcase, Moana: Journey of Water and the new festival additions—was set to be complete sometime in 2023. It is unknown if the new development of the CommuniCore Hall and Festival Stage have adjusted the initially announced timeline, though no change has been announced.

Toy Story Land Updates

The Rodeo Roundup BBQ restaurant and Jesse's Trading Post gift shop are both scheduled to open in 2022.

Disney has announced that its outdoor nighttime spectacular is set to reopen sometime in 2022. Though no official date has been announced, we have seen it undergo testing from the balcony at Gran Destino Tower's Toledo.

Summer House on the Lake

This new restaurant is set to bring its California-inspired menu and decor, focused on sustainability, to Disney Springs in 2023. Its exciting menu is set to pair with an extensive wine list and an in-house bakery to add another intriguing dining option to Disney.

Resort Updates

A couple changes are coming to Disney resort hotels and their surrounding changes in the next year, including:

  • The BoardWalk area is set to receive enhancements in 2023, along with The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers.

  • The Grand Floridian is getting new DVC villas this month.

Next year is already shaping up to be filled with new and returning additions to Walt Disney World Resort, and as is typically tradition, there are likely to be many surprises along the way.
