Beginning today, guests can now book vacation packages for Walt Disney World® Resort for the dates of Jan. 1-Sept. 26, 2021. Guests wanting to book after Sept. 26, 2021 will be able to do so at a later date.
What are packages?
All new packages begin Jan. 1, 2021. The biggest significance is that those who either had no reservation, or had a room-only reservation can now begin packages that include their 1-14-night hotel reservation, tickets, and guests who have been looking forward to a 2021 Disney vacation can now begin to book their entire trip. Packages typically include your room and ticket, along with options for dining plans and special discounts, called magical extras. All guests will be sent a complementary keepsake luggage tag.
Though adjustments have been made in regards to their availability in 2020, the Park Hopper® option, Park Hopper® Plus option and Water Park and Sports option is available for 2021.
Guests who book resorts and tickets for 2021 must still make a theme park reservation for the time being. Guests should book park tickets as soon as they are purchased and linked with the My Disney Experience app.

Due to the ever-evolving pandemic, select resorts are able to be booked at this time. Additional resort reopening, along with that of the water parks, will be reevaluated by Disney. Announcements on their openings will be made when the time is appropriate, but the currently available resorts are:

Event Dates
Though many events in 2020 have been altered or canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021’s schedule currently continues as normal. Though dates are always subject to change, wanting to attend an event or plan around it to avoid the crowds means next year’s calendar is as important as it has always been. Disney Dining Plans
With new packages normally comes new dining plans, but they are not being offered at launch for 2021. Dining plans are expected to be available at a later date.
In the meantime, if you’re looking to budget, here are the prices initially offered for 2020. Again, 2021’s dining plan pricing is yet to be made available, and, once it is, will likely differ slightly than the previous year’s.

MagicBand Changes
Complementary MagicBands will no longer be offered to guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels beginning on Jan. 1, 2021, but guests will instead be able to purchase them in advance at a discounted price. More colors and designs will be made available than have been previously, allowing for more customization and outfit coordination.
Air Travel
Disney will discontinue booking airline travel for guests in 2021.
