Your guide to Butterbeer at Universal Orlando Resort




Butterbeer, the iconic Harry Potter beverage, can be had at all times at Universal Orlando Resort and at an greater capacity during the all-new Butterbeer Season. This decadent, butterscotch-laced fictitious drink is the stuff of great fanaticism, and justifiably so, as it makes for a delicious, sweet non-alcoholic treat.


Throughout the Year

Available in both Wizarding World locations, various types the drink can be found at various locations depending on which you're looking for.

  • Cold: Reminiscent to a cream soda, you can find the classic version of the drink at Dragon Alley's Leaky Cauldron, The Fountain of Fair Fortune and The Hopping Pot and at Hogsmeade's Three Broomsticks, Hogs Head and the butterbeer carts.

  • Frozen: This icy cure to the Florida summer is available year-round at all the same locations as the cold option.

  • Hot: Once available seasonally, this year-round option can be found at Dragon Alley's Leaky Cauldron and The Hopping Pot and Hogsmeade's Hog's Head.

  • Ice Cream: A vanilla soft-serve vanilla with a butterscotch swirl, you can get this in a cone or a cup from Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour, Leaky Cauldron or The Hopping Pot or, if you're in Hogsmeade, at Three Broomsticks.

  • Fudge: Available in blocks or pieces, you can get this at Sugarplum’s Sweet Shop in Diagon Alley or Honeydukes in Hogsmeade.

  • Potted Cream: Served cold in a mason jar, you can find this treat at Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley or Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade.

Butterbeer Season

From March 15 through April 30, 2024, guests can indulge in butterbeer in all new ways. A butterbeer truck will be traveling across the United States, and Harry Potter destinations around the world will offer treats and souvenirs for a limited time.


In Orlando, guests can purchase specialty mugs and limited treats. The celebration will see the opening of Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream counter, which will serve up to 10 ice cream flavors, including, of course, butterbeer.
