All the Disney+ Announcements from D23

Just as it provides reveals and information for the theme parks, the D23 Expo does the same for Disney’s entertainment studios as well. While several new movies for theaters were announced, Disney+ deservedly holds much of the spotlight. Here’s all of it:

Series

  1. High School Musical: Thee Musical – The Series

  2. While the show had been previously announced, a trailer was revealed that showed the series will follow East High students, who go to the school where the original trilogy was shot as a film, and now the students are auditioning for the school’s musical of the movies.

  3. Lizzie McGuire

  4. Hillary Duff returns as her famous Lizzie McGuire, but this time as a 30-year-old in New York. The show’s narrating animation of Lizzie is back, as is its original creator.

  5. Loki

  6. Another one of Marvel’s previously announced shows, it was confirmed that it would follow the events of Avengers: Endgame.

  7. Falcon and the Winter Soldier

  8. It was confirmed that John Walker, a new character, would be played by Wyatt Russell, and that Emily VanCamp is returning to play Sharon Carter.

  9. WandaVision

  10. It was said that the show would be a hybrid of what is typically expected from the MCU and a sitcom.

  11. Miss Marvel

  12. This is one of three new series Marvel announced, following a fan-favorite from the comics

  13. She Hulk

  14. This is one of three new series Marvel announced, following a fan-favorite from the comics

  15. Moon Knight

  16. This is one of three new series Marvel announced, following a fan-favorite from the comics

  17. What If…?

  18. Another previously announced show, Kevin Feige confirmed that almost all of the MCU’s acting talent would be lending their voices for this animated series.

  19. Monsters at Work

  20. Taking place in the Monsters, Inc. universe, this series follows two new monsters on the day the factory changes from collecting scares to laughter.

  21. Forky Asks a Question

  22. In What looks and sounds like one of Disney’s most hilarious creations, the Toy Story 4character returns with a series of shorts.

  23. Muppets Now

  24. This unscripted series of shorts is scheduled to debut in 2020.

  25. The Mandalorian

  26. The first trailer was revealed for Jon Favreau’sStar Wars series, and it looks awesome. It’s set to launch on Nov. 12

  27. Rogue One

  28. The series, with a still-unrevealed title, is set to begin production early next year. The spy series will take place in the same timeline as 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

  29. Star Wars: The Clone Wars

  30. The animated series was once confirmed to be returning to Disney+, and now we have a targeted date: February 2020.

  31. Diary of a Female President

  32. This new series is all about a 12-year-old schoolgirl who one day dreams of becoming President of the United States.

Movies

  1. Noelle

  2. Anna Kendrick plays Santa’s daughter and teams up with Bill Hader as her brother. Together, they embark on a quest to save Christmas

  3. Stargirl

  4. A new film, based on a novel, was shown again by Disney

  5. Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made

  6. This film is all about a young boy and his detective agency

  7. Lady and the Tramp

  8. More was revealed about the live-action film, but perhaps most exciting is its use of real animals, and not CGI ones

  9. Togo

  10. Based on a true story, this film follows a man and his dog, though not much else is known yet

Disney+ launches on Nov. 12, with new series having an episode go live weekly.
